I am a Mother. A partner. A global citizen. A social worker. A mental health practitioner. A counsellor. A social activist. An environmentalist. A creative. A believer. A seer. A listener. A dancer. A lover. A work in progress.
One drop in a huge ocean that binds us all. I have travelled extensively, worked across many sectors, learned from many people, old and young, Indigenous, culturally diverse, those from the past and the present. I believe we are made up of multiple parts, of many influences, often contradictory and confused. We are looking for clarity, looking for meaning, looking for purpose. I'm interested in the divine state of simply BEING. I have lived with complex grief and loss for many years. It's my lived experience as much as my educational and professional background that informs the way I work with people. It is traversing my own discomfort and pain that allows me to offer genuine empathy and guidance to others. Sitting Vipassana and Ayahuasca ceremonies were life changing endeavors. I am in touch with my shadow side. I accept and value who I am, regardless of my imperfections. And am honoured to help others to do the same.

CONCEPTS

MIND
Using mindfulness and meditation we can grasp concepts that empower our control over automatic and unhelpful thinking which contribute to poor mental health. Therapy can help you question 'Am I more than just my thoughts?'

BODY HEART
Understanding our physiological makeup is vital in our healing. Using our body we can explore emotions, understand and release trauma, find ways to recharge, allow, ground, release. Sensorimotor practices are found to be the most effective in treating trauma and something I incorporate as needed.
Tapping into our heart space allows us to conduct ourselves from a higher place. The heart is home to our greatest truth. With greater self compassion comes compassion for others. And with that comes peace.

SPIRIT
Our spiritual selves are often overlooked, deemed as somehow seperate from ourselves. Yet spirit offers strength, resilience, insight and truth. Spirit brings us home to our true selves. Creative therapy is a vehicle toward this.
